Corey Young – Rhode Island Wedding DJ
Wedding DJ, Corey Young is the founder of Outside the Box Productions. Corey is known as the “Ultimate Wedding DJ of Rhode Island” and has performed for weddings all over New England, California, New York, Hawaii, Maryland and even Avignon, France. He not only is a Wedding DJ but also the Master of Ceremonies.
Corey Young began experimenting with music at the age of twelve in one of his best friends basement. After school he and his friends would take turns playing with the records on the old turn tables with the mixer. Right there and then was when Corey wanted to become a DJ. The only problem was he didn’t have any money to get started, nor did he come from money. Needless to say Corey was side tracked from his dream as are most high school athletes, and had two children at a very young age. This led him to working in the restaurant business where he waited tables for fourteen years at some of the finest establishments. Waiting tables in the five star restaurant environment taught Corey a few things like customer service, how to read people, organizational skills, attention to detail, and gave him the charisma that makes him the “Ultimate Wedding DJ”. During the restaurant years Corey always kept in touch with music, he was just sick of hearing people saying that the DJ was horrible. Having such a critical ear for music, and the ability to understand crowd reaction Corey took off as a DJ right away.
Showing his versatility, DJ Corey Young also has performed as a disc jockey in a wide variety of events including high school dances, private parties and is the Resident DJ of Twenty 8 Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium. Corey Young has provided the pre-party music for Billy Joel, Elton John, Kid Rock, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, The Eagles, and all the New England Patriot home games.
Corey Young has an incredible passion for all genres of music, and is constantly staying up on all the newest trends all over the world. No event is too big or too small for Corey Young, in fact he makes it a point to play in some of the smallest local bars and pubs. This is where you find the most interesting, yet critical people.
As for equipment Corey Young uses top of the line, state of the art equipment. Working from his mac computer, Corey uses multiple kinds of software that sycronise with his sound systems.
